'Toasted' (2017)

'This is a story about a boy, a boy who might think himself a man, named Brian Bodie. Truly, Brian shares many of the issues that any young boy of his age might have. He hates what he’s studying at university, and he couldn’t care less about his girlfriend - but he can forget about all that… What’s more important, and what makes Brian unique, is that someone has just stolen his goddamn toaster.' - George Perry
'The Emancipation of Anemone' (2016)

Picture this: a world just like our own, but where characters are also people. Real, functioning, people, playing their roles each day, just as they have since first they were written. Now picture, in this world, a very specific group of characters – one that has survived since the birth of theatre: a Greek tragic chorus.

Now meet a member of this chorus: Anemone, previously known as Chorus #2. She isn't supposed to have a name, but she's given herself one. She isn't supposed to have her own identity, but she's given herself one. In fact, she's a little fed up by being just a number in a group – always a chorus member, never a protagonist. She wants to be a heroine. She wants individual expression, she wants liberation, she wants emancipation. "
-Kelsey Stewart, Director
As a departmental society for both Theatre and Film we aim to encorporate film into our productions and they play an equal part in their success.  VAP and DAT are both heavily influenced by film.  Here are some of the latest videos from these productions.
